Shenyang’s Broken Bridge On The Hun Nan River
Ever wonder why there is a broken piece of a bridge right next to the Hunhe Bridge? The broken bridge actually represents an important piece of history of Shenyang. This old bridge was built in 1942, in the Manchukuo period, which is a total of 664 meters in length and 9 meters wide, supported by 3 columns on both sides with 30 bridge holes. The foundation depth of the bridge was 9 meters, bearing the capacity of 10 tons. It is the earliest bridge on the Hunhe river and the construction plays an important role in the city’s transportation.
